Tervetuloa SOOPAn syysretkelle Eteläisen Lapin tuntureille Sallan Kansallispuistoon 4-6.10. Sallan kansallispuisto on 2022 perustettu ja samalla uusin kansallispuisto. Sallan luonnossa näkyvät ikimetsät sekä jääkauden jättämät jäljet kuruineen ja harjuineen. Reittejä puiston alueella on runsaasti, niin pidempiä kuin lyhyempiäkin kansallispuiston alueella ja sen ympäristössä. Alueella on runsaasti laavuja, muutamia päivätupia ja uusi autiotupa, joissa ryhmät voivat harkita yöpyvänsä telttayön sijasta. Tietoa kohteesta: https://www.luontoon.fi/salla
Lähdemme 4.10 yliopistolta yhteiskyydillä klo 17.00 ja palaamme 6.10 samaan paikkaan noin klo 24.00. Varaamme saunan Sallasta, joka lämpenee ennen paluuta. Mukaan pääset täyttämällä ilmoittautumislomakkeen (linkki alempana) ja maksamalla osallistumismaksun ennen ilmoittautumisajan sulkeutumista 30.9. Huomaathan että SOOPAn jäsenmaksu vuodelle 2024 tulee olla maksettu myös ennen reissua. Täytä liittymislomake tästä ja katso maksutiedot tästä.
Tiistaina 1.10 klo 17.00 järjestetään yhteinen suunnitteluilta kololla, jossa jaamme ilmoittautuneet vaellusryhmiin ja ruokapareihin. Jokaisen osallistuminen suunnitteluiltaan on erittäin tärkeää! Jokainen vaellusryhmä suunnittelee itse oman reittinsä ja ruokapari sopii eväät retkelle. Jos mietit retkelle lähtöä, käy tutustumassa syysretken ohjeeseen ja varustelistaan. Jos reissusta on mitään kysyttävää, ota yhteyttä retken järjestäjiin.

Hello,
Welcome to SOOPA’s autumn trip to the southern Lapland fells in Salla National Park, from October 4th to 6th. Salla National Park, established in 2022, is Finland’s newest national park. The park’s nature is characterized by ancient forests and the marks left by the Ice Age, such as gorges and ridges. There are numerous trails in and around the park, offering both shorter and longer hiking routes. The area also features plenty of lean-tos, a few day-use huts, and a new wilderness hut, where groups can consider spending the night instead of camping in tents. We will depart from the university by shared transportation on October 4th at 17:00 and return to the same place on October 6th around 24:00. We have reserved a sauna in Salla, which will be heated before our return. You can join by filling out the registration form (link below) and paying the participation fee before the registration closes on September 30th. Please note that the SOOPA membership fee for 2024 must be paid before the trip. So fill out the membership form and pay your membership fee before leaving.
We will have a joint planning meeting at Kolo on October 1st at 17:00, where we will divide participants into hiking groups and meal pairs. So participation for this meeting is strongly advised. Each group will plan their own route, and meal pairs will coordinate food for the hike.
